背甲雕刻较指名亚种浅，颜色偏黄褐色；腹甲黄色，盾片间有黑色缝线；头部灰褐色，具细密斑点；四肢及尾色深。最大甲长不详，估计与指名亚种相近。
生态习性
栖息于阿亚马鲁湖及其周边湿地，湖水清澈且水生植物丰富。推测为晨昏活动，食性杂，以水生无脊椎动物和水草为主。繁殖可能集中在雨季。
