趣闻
学名aurocapitata源自拉丁语aurum（金）和capitatus（有头的），指其头部的金黄色。模式产地为安徽南陵县。
形态特征
最大背甲长度雄性12.5厘米，雌性16.0厘米（Blanck et al. 2017）。头部呈金黄色，背甲略拱起，腹甲可完全闭合。
生态习性
半水栖，偏好山区溪流、池塘等洁净水体。杂食性，以小鱼、虾、昆虫、水生植物为食。日活动，夜间隐蔽。冬眠于水底或泥洞。
主要威胁与保护
主要威胁包括栖息地破坏（如水利工程、农田开垦）、水污染和非法捕捉。已列入CITES附录II，中国尚未列入国家保护名录，但商业贸易受国际管控。
自然分布与保护状态
分布于中国安徽、浙江。预估历史栖息地面积（AOO）为17,640平方公里，预估历史分布范围（EOO）为21,137平方公里。CITES附录II（作为Cuora spp.），自2013年起商业野生标本零配额。
